Richard Malinga made history on Monday 18th by guiding a team to three consecutive National Boys Football Championship finals.

He guided Amus in 2024, Masaka, led Buddo in Ngora, and later repeated the feat with Amus once more.

Having won it last year with Buddo SS, Malinga beat Bukedea’s Ronald Ssali thanks to Otim John Brian’s first half free kick strike.

Bukedea Comprehensive came close to equalising on a number of occasions, but the striking line of Wanyama, Patrick, and captain Ssewagudde lacked that finishing edge.

Amus College was built on a strong defensive foundation that could account for their low scoring campaign, having scored more than one goal only once in their game against Mukono Kings High School(4-1)

Before today Amus had already played Bukedea at district and zone finals and have won all of them.
