Rugby Sevens Set For Quarterfinals

This Sunday the 12th of July saw the conclusion of the rugby sevens group games at this year’s ball games II in Gulu City.

Makerere College and Mbarara High topped their group without losing a single game.

Luigi Guissani being a no-show saw all the teams in Pool C namely Busoga college Mwiri, London college and Dr. Obote College being awarded walk overs.

Jinja SS girls are champions in waiting after dethroning Nkoma SS who have held the trophy for over two years.

London College face rivals Makerere College, the sides have played each other at all four finals in June during the recently concluded central sevens circuit organized by Uganda Schools Rugby Association (USRA) with Makerere College winning three of the four finals. Another quarterfinal will see Mwiri and Butiki tussle it out far away from Busoga zone.
