The lacrosse competition at the USSSA BallGames II National Championship in Gulu served up another thrilling round of action as teams continued their quest for top honours in both the girls’ and boys’ categories.
Nabisunsa Girls School delivered one of the standout performances in the girls’ division, defeating Empower International Academy 16-6. The victory showcased Nabisunsa’s attacking quality and defensive organization as they comfortably secured maximum points.
Bombo Army SS produced the most dominant display of the day, overwhelming Trinity College Nabbingo 26-0. Their clinical finishing and solid defensive effort ensured a comprehensive victory from the opening whistle to the final horn.
Muzza High School also picked up an important win after edging Kigezi High School 5-2 in a closely contested encounter that remained competitive throughout.
In the boys’ competition, Empower International Academy held off Kigezi High School to claim a hard-fought 11-10 victory. The closely fought contest lived up to expectations, with Empower maintaining their composure in the closing stages to secure the win.
Bombo Army School rounded off the day’s fixtures with a convincing 14-6 triumph over Lumino High School. A disciplined display at both ends of the field helped Bombo Army bounce back with an impressive performance.
With the competition entering a crucial stage, teams will now shift their focus to the upcoming fixtures as they continue their pursuit of the USSSA BallGames II National Championship title.
