Sacred Heart SS Gulu And Busoga College Mwiri Shine In Dominant Victories

Sacred Heart SS Gulu delivered a dominant performance after winning the toss and electing to bowl, dismissing Kenyan opponents Mwangaza for just 43 runs in 13.5 overs of their scheduled 15-over match.

The Gulu side then made light work of the chase, reaching 44 runs in only 4.1 overs without losing a single wicket.

Kyosaba Mackline and Amoro Nyero were both not out, calmly guiding Sacred Heart across the finish line and completing a convincing 10-wicket victory.

The result underlined Sacred Heart SS Gulu’s strong form and clinical performance with both ball and bat.

With a commanding victory already secured, all eyes will now be on Sacred Heart as they prepare for their next test against Dodoma on Thursday 20th August.

Mwiri Boys Cruise to Victory as Oketcho Stars with Five Wickets

Busoga College Mwiri produced a commanding all-round performance to defeat Kenyan opponents Arya after being sent in to bat.

Arya won the toss and elected to bowl, but Mwiri’s batsmen responded strongly, posting an impressive 165 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs.

Tigatoola Abubaker led the scoring charge with a superb 68 runs off 47 balls, providing the foundation for Mwiri’s competitive total.

With 166 runs to win, Arya struggled against a disciplined Mwiri bowling attack and were eventually bowled out for just 46 runs in 18.3 overs.

Captain Oketcho led by example with a sensational spell, claiming five wickets in four overs while conceding just three runs. His outstanding figures included two maiden overs and 22 dot balls, as he dismantled the Arya batting line-up and played a central role in Mwiri’s emphatic victory.

The win gives Busoga College Mwiri valuable momentum heading into their final match of the tournament.

Mwiri will face St. Joseph’s of Kenya on Thursday morning in their final tournament fixture, with the boys hoping to finish their campaign on a high.
