The National Boys Football Championship reached the quarterfinals, with schools aiming to secure slots at the FEASSA Games.
In the first quarterfinal played this morning, defending champions Buddo SS were eliminated by Kyaddondo SS, denying them a place at this year’s FEASSA Games in Tanzania.

Buddo SS Starting Line Up
Buddo SS reached this stage after defeating Kawempe 2-1 in the Round of 16, while Kyaddondo SS beat Nkoma SS by the same scoreline.
In a highly intense match, Bashir Edema’s penalty strike was enough to send the UMEA defending champions into the semifinals.
In the 33rd minute, Kyaddondo SS was awarded a penalty following a challenge on their forward by goalkeeper Edrisa Waibi.

Kyaddondo SS Starting Line Up
Bashir Edema kept his composure and calmly struck the ball into the net to give Kyaddondo the lead, which eventually proved to be the winner.
Both sides showed strength in the second half as Buddo SS pushed for an equalizer, but Kyaddondo SS’s defense remained solid throughout the game.
The victory means Kyaddondo is now one step closer to qualifying for FEASSA. If FEASSA defending champions Bukedea Comprehensive School advance to the semifinals, Kyaddondo will automatically qualify as well. Otherwise, they will need to reach the final or win the third-place playoff to secure qualification.
Kyaddondo will face the winner between Amus College and London College in the semifinals.
