Buddo SS 35-31 St. Mary’s Kitende
From the first whistle Buddo meant business as they won the first quarter with a four points margin.
In the opening minutes both teams played with in their shells, and as a result SMASK managed 6 points, four short of Buddo.
The more time moved, the tenser it got therefore tight scores.
SMASK closed the gap in the second to a two points margin (16-18), which began to breed hopes of a ‘remontanda’.
Following the third quarter, the gap remained with scores 25-23 Buddo SS steering the wheel in a champion’s fashion.
St. Mary’s Kitende won the FEASSA title last year but were edged by Buddo at the Nationals.
This battle could set the pace for 2026 as the two power houses aim to dominate the netball courts in the country.
The Elite Games started on 26th February and come to a close on 1st March with finals and awarding of teams before departure.
