ROUND OF 16 SET AS USSSA GIRLS’ FOOTBALL KNOCKOUTS KICK OFF MONDAY

The race for national glory intensifies as the USSSA Girls’ Football Championship enters the Round of 16, with eight high-stakes fixtures lined up for Monday, May 4, across multiple venues.

All matches will kick off simultaneously at 9:00 AM, setting the stage for a thrilling morning of school football as the country’s top teams battle for quarterfinal slots.

Former giants and emerging contenders are all in the mix, with defending heavyweights facing tricky opponents. St Noa Girls will lock horns with a spirited Moyo Star High School side at Seeta University, while Nkoma SS takes on in-form Rines SS at Seeta High School.

One of the standout fixtures will see Uganda Martyrs face Latifah Mixed at Hilton High School, a clash expected to draw significant attention given both teams’ recent performances.

Record champions Kawempe Muslim face a stern test against St Charles Lwanga Kasasa at UCU Stadium, in what promises to be one of the most competitive encounters of the round.

Elsewhere, Boni Concil Girls meet Jinja Comprehensive at Nakisunga Playground, while Bukedea Comprehensive squares off with Stahiza at Seroma Christian High School Stadium.

St Mary’s Magdalene will take on JIPRA at UCU Pitch, as Sacred Heart Secondary School battles Amus College at Seeta High School A-Level Campus to complete the Round of 16 lineup.

With every team just one win away from the quarterfinals, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Expect intensity, passion, and drama as the tournament edges closer to crowning this year’s champions.
