RUGBY: Uganda Schools Continue To Battle In Morogoro

Day Two of the rugby fixtures saw Uganda’s school teams continue their campaign, with mixed fortunes across the fixtures.

Namilyango College suffered another heavy defeat 52-00, this time against Kenya’s Upper Hill. Despite the result, the Namilyango captain remains positive, saying the youngsters are focused on learning from the experience and enjoying the tournament.

“The tournament has been a hard one as expected ,I have learnt that yes things can be hard but as long as you are there for your neighbor, talk to him, we can all enjoy this tournament” Mugisha Derrick, Captain Namilyango College

St. Mary’s College Kisubi also fell to defending champions Kisii, but put up a much stronger defensive display. Kisii led 12–0 at halftime before eventually winning 17–0. The five points conceded in the second half made it the lowest margin of defeat suffered by a Ugandan side so far in the tournament.

Jinja SS had a rest day ahead of their next fixture.
