Candidate Eligibility and standards
“Only registered professional teachers are eligible for leadership to ensure educational standards.”

I would like to request every member to trust the committee and all members that were entrusted with this exercise from the AGM held last year. Let’s embrace these guidelines, read and understand them to the dot.”
Professional status
Candidates must be professionally registered teachers in active service.
Institutional Affiliation
Mandatory employment in a recognized secondary school environment.
Local Accountability
Leaders represent their specific geographical areas for community focus.
Secret Ballot
All voting is conducted via secret ballot to protect delegate independence.
DISTRICT LEVEL ELECTIONS SCHEDULE
Election Date – 20th July 2026
Official Venue -District Headquarters
Voting Window- 10;00AM -2;00PM
Representation requirement: Each member school is entitled to send two authorized delegates to participate in the district elections.
ZONAL LEVEL ELECTIONS SCHEDULE
Election Date:25th July 2026
Delegate Pool: Each district is entitled to a maximum of five delegates to represent their interests at the zonal level.
Eligibility Criteria: All zonal delegates must be current members of their respective District Executive committees.
Strategic Focus: Elections focus on regional coordination and the implementation of sports development strategies.
ZONAL EXECUTIVE & COORDINATION ROLES
Core Leadership -Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer.
Strategic Roles– Organizing Secretary and Women Secretary
Technical Support- Coordinators provide essential technical oversight for regional sports events and development.
National Elections will be held on 1st August 2026 at GNS Plaza ,Old Kampala starting at 10:00AM.
