Here, students are putting their intelligence, patience and strategy to the ultimate test in the Mind Games competition at the USSSA Ball Games II 2026.With Chess, Scrabble and Ludo all in progress, participants from schools across the country are proving that success in sport is not only about physical ability, but also about critical thinking, concentration and decision-making.
Scrabble is approaching its conclusion, with only one round left in the individual competition. The tournament has been contested over 12 rounds using a random pairing system, meaning players have often found themselves competing against teammates from their own schools.
The format has created exciting and unpredictable encounters while giving participants valuable competitive experience.
The Chess competition has so far completed three rounds. Attention now shifts to a crucial day tomorrow when competitors will play Rounds Four and Five.
The championship consists of nine rounds, with no player eliminated along the way, leaving every point vital in determining the eventual champions.Ludo has also entered a decisive phase, with Match Day Three producing a number of closely contested fixtures.
Every team plays four sets, with both sets won and goals scored contributing to the final standings, making every move count.
