The Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES), on behalf of the Association of Secondary School Headteachers of Uganda (ASSHU) and the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA), congratulates all schools and student-athletes who participated in the 2025 Secondary Schools National Championships.
In this regard, we are pleased to inform you that your institution automatically qualified to participate in the 7th Edition of the Elite Secondary Schools Championship.
You are therefore officially invited to take part in this prestigious championship scheduled as follows:
Dates: 26th February – 1st March 2026
Venue: Janan Secondary School – Bombo Campus
The Elite Championship brings together Uganda’s top-performing secondary schools to compete at the highest level of school sports. This is USSSA’s sports calendar opener
Sports Disciplines (Top 8 Schools per Category)
The championship will feature the top eight (8) schools from the 2025 National Championships in each of the following disciplines:
- Football – Boys & Girls
- Netball – Girls
- Volleyball – Boys & Girls
- Handball – Boys & Girls
- Basketball (5×5) – Boys & Girls
- Basketball 3×3 – Boys & Girls
- Rugby 7s – Boys & Girls
