Kakungulu seek hockey double
Kakungulu Memorial hope to win the boys’ and girls’ titles at the Uganda Secondary School Sports Association Ball Games I in Mukono.
Their boys earned revenge by beating Mbarara High School 2-1 in a repeat of last year’s semifinals while the girls made lightwork of Sacred Heart Mushanga in a 2-0 win.
The boys meet Ntare which settled for silver when they last met in 2024 and last year against Mbarara High. Ntare came from 1-0 down at halftime to beat King’s College Budo 4-1 in the other semifinal.
The girls face Mt. St. Mary’s Namagunga who beat Gayaza High School 1-0 in the shootouts following a 0-0 draw.
