The USSSA U20 National Football Championship 2026 Masaka Zone qualifiers came to an exciting close at St. James Kyotera on 16th April 2026.
Masaka SS successfully defended their zonal trophy for the second consecutive time.
The five-day championship featured 48 schools from across the zone, showcasing impressive talent and competitive spirit. The final match saw Masaka SS face off against Kalisizo Seed School, with Masaka SS securing a narrow 1–0 victory to emerge champions once again.
The climax of the tournament was graced by Mathias Kagugube, Deputy Resident District Commissioner Kyotera District who attended alongside several dignitaries from across the Masaka Zone, including school head teachers and directors.
Following the tournament, three teams have officially earned the honor of representing the zone at the national finals in Lira:
Masaka SS- (Gold)
Kalisizo Seed School -(Silver)
Numasa SS (Masaka City) -(Bronze)
All eyes will now be on these teams as they head to Lira to compete against top schools from other regions such as Kampala and Wakiso, where the level of competition is expected to be intense.
