Overview
The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) successfully elected its Executive Committee (EXCO) for the 2026–2030 term during the 44th Elective General Assembly held today at Front Page Hotel, Namasuba.
The election was conducted by the USSSA Electoral Commission, chaired by Mr. Opio Joseph Ekodeu, alongside commissioners Mr. Barigye Richard and Mrs. Wataba Hellen. The exercise marked the culmination of a comprehensive electoral process that began at the district level, progressed through the zonal elections, and concluded at the national level.
A total of 95 delegates and 20 outgoing Executive Committee members attended the General Assembly. Of the 115 eligible voters, two were absent, resulting in 113 votes cast.
Most Executive Committee positions were filled unopposed, with only three positions requiring elections:
• 3rd Vice President
• Northern Region Representatives
• Western Region Representatives
3rd Vice President Celia Amanya was elected as the USSSA 3rd Vice President after securing 70 votes, defeating Muhumuza Richard, who garnered 40 votes. The third candidate, Twahil Kiteezaala, withdrew from the race before voting in support of Celia Amanya.
Northern Region Representatives
The following officials were elected to represent the Northern Region on the Executive Committee:

• Bithola Ocukune
• Obura Moses
Western Region Representatives
The following officials were elected as representatives for the Western Region:
• Tindimwebwa Elizabeth
• Kugonza Fred
• Monday Christopher
The newly elected Executive Committee will steer the affairs of USSSA for the 2026–2030 term.
