Mentor SS cemented their dynasty in Lango Zone school football this afternoon, beating Trinity College Abilonino 1-0 at Ngai SS to win the 2026 USSSA Boys Championship and claim the zonal trophy permanently after a third consecutive title.
Defender Deng Garang proved the match-winner, converting a 17th-minute penalty to settle a tense final. The early strike was all Mentor needed as they produced another resolute defensive display to preserve their perfect record.
The victory caps a flawless 2026 campaign. Mentor SS lifted the trophy unbeaten and did not concede a single goal throughout the entire tournament, underlining their dominance.
With zonal crowns now secured three times in a row, Mentor SS trigger the USSSA three-time winners rule and will retain the Lango Zone boys trophy forever.
Other Schools that will join Mentor SS to represent USSSA -LANGO ZONE at nationals in boys football include, Trinity College Abilonino,Lira Town college.
Girls Football.
1.St.Mary Magdalene SS
2.Adwari SS.
All eyes will now be on these teams as the boys head to Lira and Girls head to Seroma to compete against top school from other regions such as Kampala and Wakiso ,Where the Competition is expected to be intense.
