Event: 2026 CAF African schools’ Football championship
Dates: 6th to 10th April 2026
Venue: Harare, Zimbabwe
The stage is set for the eagerly awaited Confederation of African Football (CAF) African Schools Football Championship continental finals in Harare city, Zimbabwe (2nd to 10th April 2026).
Coach Hassan Zungu and Captain Owen Mukisa have attended the Pre match press conference ahead of their opening match where they will face hosts Zimbabwe on Monday 6th April at the Ngoni Stadium in Norton, Zimbabwe.
Zungu informed the journalists of their readiness to go all the way to the final but most importantly the need to make it out the group stages.

“Having been at this tournament three times (Accra, Zanzibar and now Harare) we are looking forward to making the final. Last year in Accra we were eliminated at the semi-final”. Hassan Zungu , head coach ,Team Uganda.
Captain Owen Mukisa on the weather conditions.
“The weather conditions in Uganda and Zimbabwe are similar except for the cold mornings we have experienced in Harare. We have been in Harare for four days and are now used to this”. Owen Mukisa, Captain Team Uganda.
“We have had two training sessions and with a third to take place this afternoon(Sunday 5th) therefore we are ready to face hosts Zimbabwe in our opening game tomorrow (Monday 6th)”. Concluded Mukisa

The tournament takes place from 6th to 10th April at the Ngoni Stadium in Norton and Gateway High School in Harare.
St. Mary’s Kitende qualified as the National champions when they defeated Amus College during the National Ball Games II at St. Peter’s College Tororo in August 2025 and later as regional CECAFA Champions after defeating Ethiopia in December 2025 at St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende in Uganda.
