The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) has unveiled the 30-member national swimming team that will represent Uganda at the 2026 FEASSA Games in Morogoro, Tanzania, from 12–23 August 2026.
The team was selected following the recently concluded USSSA National Swimming Championships held at Seroma Christian High School ON 26th July , where the country’s top secondary school swimmers competed for national honors and places on Team Uganda.
Team Composition
The squad comprises 15 girls and 15 boys, drawn from eight schools and the individual category.

Highlights
Seroma has the largest overall representation with 8 swimmers while Aga Khan has 7 swimmers which is the same number of those that qualified as individuals.
Top Performers at the National 2026 championship.
Several swimmers delivered exceptional performances, collecting multiple podium finishes across the championship.
Ethani Ssengooba (Aga Khan High School)
Among the standout male swimmers, Ssengooba won the Boys’ 200m Individual Medley, 100m freestyle and 100m butterfly, while anchoring Aga Khan’s victorious Boys’ 200m freestyle relay and helping the school finish second in the mixed reestyle relay.
Mbanga Zara (Shree Sahajanand School)
Mbanga was arguably the outstanding female swimmer of the championship, claiming victories in the Girls’ 200m Individual Medley, 100m Breaststroke and 50m breaststroke while also playing a pivotal role in Shree Sahajanand’s winning girls’ medley relay and mixed medley relay teams.
Nsubuga Arthur (Seroma Christian High School)
Nsubuga was instrumental in Seroma’s title-winning campaign, winning the Boys’ 50m Breaststroke while registering podium finishes in the 200m Individual Medley and 100m freestyle. He also featured prominently in Seroma’s victorious Mixed freestyle relay and runners-up boys’ freestyle relay.
Tyrah Muganzi (Aga Khan High School)
Muganzi dominated the butterfly events, winning both the Girls’ 50m butterfly and 100m butterfly, and was part of Aga Khan’s silver medal-winning mixed freestyle relay team.
Rahmah Kalungi Nakasule (Seroma Christian High School)
Rahmah consistently delivered for the hosts, winning the Girls’ 50m backstroke while finishing runner-up in both the 100m butterfly and 100m backstroke. She also helped Seroma win the Mixed Freestyle Relay.
Looking Ahead
With the national championships concluded, Uganda’s focus now shifts to the FEASSA Games in Morogoro, where the country’s 30 selected swimmers will look to build on their impressive performances and challenge for regional honors against East Africa’s best school swimmers.
