Uganda is travelling to Tanzania with a delegation comprising 127 teams from 67 schools, including eight Special Needs Education (SNE) schools and eight primary schools. The delegation comprises 1,304 secondary school participants, 160 primary pupils and 72 SNE students.
The draw ceremony was attended by George Omondi, representing Kenya, Margaret Harriet Apolot representing Uganda on the FEASSA Executive, FEASSA Organizing Secretary Ayub Khalifan Kiyingi, and Senior Education Officer Abalo Grace from Uganda’s Ministry of Education and Sports.
The team will continue with intensive training throughout the final week of camp before departing for Morogoro, where Uganda will compete against other East African nations at the 2026 FEASSA Games.
Representatives from FEASSA member countries are expected to take part in the draw, which is a key milestone in the countdown to East Africa’s premier schools’ sporting event.
During the meeting, members were taken through the key activities, deadlines, travel arrangements, payment requirements, team confirmation process, and preparations leading up to the championship in Morogoro, Tanzania.
