The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) on 22nd July 2026 held the first preparatory meeting ahead of Uganda’s participation in the 23rd Edition of the Federation of East Africa School Sports Association (FEASSA) Games. The meeting took place at the USSSA Offices in Old Kampala.

The meeting focused on preparations for the championship, which will be hosted in Morogoro, Tanzania, from 12th to 23rd August 2026.

Mental health is increasingly becoming an important conversation in sports, especially among young athletes who often balance the pressures of competition, academics, and personal life.

Kayanga spoke to athletes about mental health awareness, encouraging them to recognize the importance of seeking support when faced with emotional and psychological challenges.

Basketball action came to an end at World Embrace, Gulu, with the semifinal, third-place playoff, and final games. The games were intense, competitive and exciting to watch, with plenty of skill, talent and hustle on display.

The USSSA Ball Games II Beach Soccer games came to an end with a new name on the Beach Soccer Boys trophy after Mukono Kings dethroned the defending champions and 3-time consecutive FEASSA champions, Standard High School Zzana “Stahiza”.
